Your security is important to us. For this reason, the personal data you share with us is protected with sensitivity. We, Happy App Lab, as the data controller, aim to inform you with this privacy and personal data protection policy about which of your personal data will be processed, for what purpose, with whom the processed data may be shared, our data processing methods and legal reasons, and your rights regarding your processed data.

1. Data Collection and Use of Facial / Hair Data

To provide hair analysis and style recommendations, our application requires you to submit a photo containing your hair. The following explains exactly how this data is handled.

What data is collected?

Photos you voluntarily upload within the app (hair/face region)
Hair-related features derived from image processing (e.g., hair color, texture, length)

How is the data processed and where is it sent?

When you submit a photo for analysis, it is transmitted securely (via HTTPS/TLS) to our servers hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure. The photo is used solely to generate your personalized hair analysis and style recommendations.

Data Retention

Your photo and any derived facial or hair data are deleted immediately after the analysis is completed. We do not store, archive, or retain your images or biometric data on our servers beyond the time required to generate your results.

Third-party sharing

No Third-Party Sharing

Your photos and facial/hair data are NOT shared with any third parties. They are processed exclusively on our own servers and deleted immediately after use.

User consent

Before submitting any photo, the app will clearly inform you that your image will be sent to our servers for analysis and will ask for your explicit permission. You may decline at any time. If you do not provide consent, the hair analysis feature will not be available.

2. Other Personal Data Collected

In addition to hair/facial data, we may collect the following types of personal data through automated or non-automated methods, including technologies such as cookies and analytics tools, or obtained from third-party providers:

Identity information: name, surname, date of birth
Contact information: email address, phone number, IP address, location
Usage and social media data
Financial information (where applicable)

3. Purpose of Processing Personal Data

The personal data you share with us is processed for the following purposes:

To provide and improve our hair analysis and recommendation services
To establish and fulfill contracts enabling you to use our services
To develop our products and services in line with your needs
To fulfill legal obligations upon request of judicial and administrative authorities

4. Data Transfers

Your personal data (excluding facial/hair photo data, which is never shared) may be transferred to third-party service providers in Turkey and abroad with whom we have contractual relationships, and to judicial or administrative authorities upon legal request, provided that all necessary technical and administrative security measures are in place.

5. Data Security

All data transmissions between the app and our servers are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Our servers are hosted on DigitalOcean, which maintains industry-standard physical and digital security controls. Photo data is processed in isolated environments and permanently deleted immediately after analysis.

6. Your Rights (KVKK — Article 11)

According to Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you have the following rights:

To learn whether your personal data is being processed
To request information if your personal data has been processed
To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly
To know the third parties to whom your data has been transferred, domestically or abroad
To request correction of incomplete or incorrect data
To request the deletion or destruction of your personal data
To object to automated decision-making that produces results against your interests
To demand compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing
